Grade, finish, colour, lining and hardware all change how a product wears and how it is priced. We advise on each, then hold the specification for every repeat order.
Know the difference.
Full-Grain — Premium
Natural surface intact. Develops a rich patina with use and is the most durable grade we work with. Used in our finest wallets and bags.
Top-Grain — High Quality
Sanded and refinished surface giving a uniform appearance. Highly durable and widely used in quality commercial goods.
Genuine Leather — Standard
Inner hide layer, heavily coated. Less durable and prone to peeling. Specified only where a buyer requires it for a particular price point.
Bonded Leather — Not Used by LUFKIN
Reconstituted leather scraps and the lowest grade available. Not used in our product range.

Crazy Horse
Rugged · Ages beautifully. Waxed full-grain or top-grain with a burnished effect that improves with age.
Oil Pull-Up
Rich · Develops deep patina. Heavily oiled during tanning, supple and tactile.
Pebble Grain
Structured · Scratch resistant. Uniform textured surface, easy to maintain and suited to corporate goods.
